Frontiers in Technology
One of the unique and exciting aspects of the Technology Management Program is the Frontiers in Technology series, which includes: seminars and professional development activities, corporate visits, and talks by researchers who work in the cutting edge of technology. As a student, you will get an up close look at new breakthroughs and have the opportunity to listen to, discuss, and present on ideas and technologies which are expected to affect our lives in the near future.
Seminars & Professional Development
The Seminars and Professional Development Activities portion of Frontiers includes both educational and hands-on experiences, in topics ranging broadly from global supply chain strategy, to the future of the nanotechnology industry, to crisis communication, for example. Corporate Visits
The Corporate Visits part of Frontiers involves having senior executives from firms of various sizes and disciplines come to campus to speak with you about their businesses and experiences. This also involves taking you to visit companies in order to see firsthand how the topics that you are learning in the classroom are applied in the corporate world. Illinois Researchers
The Talks by prominent University of Illinois Researchers piece of Frontiers leverages the expertise of professors and professionals alike, from the many technical disciplines and research facilities across the UIUC campus. The presentations given on their research and breakthroughs are a phenomenal way to immerse and help you be conversant in a wide variety of new technologies.
